LG does’nt praise enough.
Just bought this TV for the sake of it as an IPS panel and for his apparent adjustment (and even 1080p). Plus this tv is so easy to calibrate the “Image Assistant is” very helpful.
The height of the menu options is breathtaking, as is the style of the crowd. The LH40 model looks neat with the plastic square on the bottom of the plate, but I like the more minimalist look of the LH30, and I do not know how the 120 Hz or the $ 100 price jump of LH40.
< , br /> I compare to my Sony 32M4000 have (which I have now given to my father) and there are some interesting differences (many are polar):
The Sound is far superior on the LG.
Black levels are very close, sony is a bit deeper and has better black colors on the corners.
,-The whiteness of white is slightly better on the Sony, but the colors mids and highs are definitely more of a “powerful” factor on the LG.
-Color is amazingly rich and saturated, the best ive seen on any LCD, period.
-color does not wash at all from different angles, very black and dark colors are prone to discoloration (blue or red, depending on the angle).
Of course there is much, much less picture options on the sony.
My Sony has a problem with ghosting dark colors, not so on the LG, Motion Blur and delay is also reduced.
OTA HD channels decent enough, not as sharp as the sony, but the better color makes imo is for them.
What is the most important factor that made me the LG was?. . the S-IPS panel.
Samsung is an excellent manufacturer of LCDs, but I avoided it this time, play as buying a TV from them is like the lottery. Using 3 different panels with different levels of color and contrast quality, you are not getting much of what you pay: />
An A-MVA panel from AUO Taiwan’s (one notch lower than S-PVA).
; Chinese company Chi Mei S-MVA panel (
Panasonics IPS Alpha panels are decent, but on some panels dark colors seem much too blue from different angles .
That narrows it to LG S-IPS panel, its color saturation, vibrancy and reaction time are worth the slight sacrifice in contrast and black depth (at least in my opinion). < , br />
tv is not perfect, but I discovered 3 dead pixels right out of the light box (2, 1 dark), just around the middle of the screen. They are virtually invisible, without a foot on the screen and look hard for them, but.
Angles show some darkening of the image, but its not too distracting (swivel stand helps). < br />
No other flaws I can think at the moment, I recommend this tv!
My calibration use settings, color settings from CNET. com along with a few tweaks of my own, try them!

I bought this TV from Amazon vendors TigerDirect is based on Amazon reviews early November 2009. We have a two years old 32 “Samsung HD LCD TV that we moved into another room and the LG TV was purchased to replace older TV. My wife and I both found the quality of the image to be smaller than the Samsung. Finally, it appeared the biggest problem with the LG TV was the deterioration of image quality with viewing angle. The LG also has a small problem to keep audio and video sync on a few programs that somthing we had not found in our other TVs ( We have four flat-screen televisions in all – only one HD) is given the space that we planned to them as it needs a wide viewing angle, we turned the TV space.

32LH30 The LG 32-Inch 1080p replaces a 720p 32 inch Samsung, which I returned because of erratic sound quality. The LG is a very clear picture on upscaled DVD movies and over the air digital signals. The speakers provide excellent sound for a small living room, although the addition would increase by a home theater system much movie experience. Standard-definition signals and to reproduce a stable clear picture. The colors are very good and the kit provides sufficient tools to optimize the image for personal preference. I have not for BluRay yet, but from HD satellite is very good. The functions of this device on the Amazon list describe accurately described and its functions can rely on. I am not a hard core film / video buff, but I can not imagine that this device is not the most viewers, an inexpensive medium to high-definition flat-screen TV, just. My five stars are for what I expect on a similar design and affordable units for a smaller room.

First, I feel cheated now that I paid over [. . . ] For this TV back for a few months. On the other hand, there are many positive things about this TV, which I appreciate this very much.
1 The picture quality is just unbelievable. It really has enriched color screen and your experience with sports is probably awesome.
2 The sound quality is not the best thing I can get, but it is really the 3rd near perfection, and I would rate a 5.
The body has a rich color and style is perfect and is.
4 When viewed from different angles, there appear to be very little depreciation of the real production and a few withered bodies. A comparison with other models, this is very minimal. In addition, you were just from a good distance, the question of cavities. We also use the swivel-hook, if you think it is games.
5 I have it connected with DVD player and it is awesome so far. Very pleased with the picture quality.
I wish I had a bigger screen though. I saw this 37 “1080p [...], including the glossy black on a local memory and is only a [...] extra.
It depends on your viewing distance and how Your sofa is far from the television. With 1080p and would be a deep discount, I call a deal!

Purchased this LG TV after reading the Amazon reviews. Once I get it and hung it over HDMI cable to my DVR, I noticed a problem immediately. The Audio & Video are shocking out of sync. The sound is from a second or more and makes it impossible to see delayed. I thought it could be the cable box so I called Time Warner and they swapped out my cable box for a new one. It made zero difference. Finally I called LG tech support and they didn’t even ask me, slideshows, said that many questions, and it was a known problem. They took my information and send a tech out to fix it. They claim that they know that there is a problem, and there is a solution, but it requires a tech to make a physical visit. After the call, I have more research cooperation and there are tons of Internet postings about this same issue with people all over the place very excited.
I then waited for 2 weeks and never again one from LG. Called again and was told that they are always flooded with calls on this issue, and they had no idea when I receive service. They said to call back (after a month!), If I hadnt heard from them again! They claim that if you do not use HDMI goes away the problem. But this is the reason why I bought a 1080i TV. . . . for HDMI. Needless to say, please dont buy from LG and choose another brand, at least for a while. I also bought from Adorama Camera (via Amazon) and they have no return policy on television, which is amazing, and quite a shock. So I’m stuck with this TV if I want to or not.
