im very surprised that 20% of college students would trade their presidential vote for an ipod touch. i would have guessed anywhere from 90-99% would.

battery cable. . SO if anyone is having this type of problem, just remove all the blue foam/plastic/etc that (i assume) protects the interior from shock, etc. . . but who cares if it doesnt work at all. . . this will give the cable slightly more slack and when you close the ipod it wont pull it too tight. I FINALLY figured this out after a few days of serious frustration and even was looking up prices on refurbished ipods. But its working fine now.
I have a 5th gen 30gig video. . Just posting this incase anyone has a similar problem. . . I changed my battery, and when i re-assembled the ipod it wouldnt work. . just the ‘very low battery’ icon. I found out that it would work fine if the ipod case was still split in 2, but as soon as i put them together. . turned off. I found out I had to take out all the blue foam and plastic inside because the new battery was slightly fatter, and when i closed the case it was putting slight stress on the taught

@Walmon1 becaus ipod only has about 800 charge cycles or something? Im’ not sure. But one day, your battery will die, and you can’t “take” your battery out of your ipod like yuo can with other mobile products. So one day, you will end up in apple’s store, felling sorry for yourself, and paying a lot just to replace the battery, or paying even more for a new ipod. ==

on older ipods, and ipods that have gone thru a lot use (and temperature changes) normal wear, charge up, use, charge up, use, that pattern can wear out the battery and may not last as long until its so little that its not even worth it anymore. u dont have to though
