I think it’s whatever information the program that you’re currently using needs. That’s why MS Word doesn’t slow down your computer as much as World of Warcraft, or the like.

  2. ss1extreme says:

Next time u use a computer wtf???
So utube dosent counts as using a computer?

  3. GENERAL1002 says:

Interesting. I never really fully understood how ram works. is there a way to tell what information is stored in the ram?

  4. theanon33 says:

very informative..i wonder why all the people giving all these smart ass comments couldn’t do one like that..i think a lot of people found this video very informative…

  13. joelo0504 says:

you missed video card and motherboard.

  14. nevergive7 says:

Good video for a basic understanding of computers !!! Excellent Quality !!!

Now can you do one for overclocking and case modding? LOL. I could really use that. LOL

  15. leelefever says:

Thanks for the comment. Our videos aren’t focused on businesses only, but also schools. This series is much more focused on 8th graders (for instance).

  16. chick7489 says:

What kind of camera do you use to record yourself? I like the quality for some reason haha. Or is it your lighting? anyways, fun video!

  17. MrGizzardinHD says:

you should do another video just on RAM because it’s still confusing to me like when you say “makes some info quicker to access” what does some mean? I’ve always wanted a video just on RAM.

  18. Wadukadoo says:

this is a nice video, but i dont under stand what kind of company would use this so their epmployies could learn. this is a fairly basic video and if people working for a company on computers didnt already know this, i dont know how they got hired in the first place. its good for more like teaching my mom to start useing a computer.

  19. leelefever says:

Thank you, chopbust. From our perspective, the problem is that the people who know the most about computers, money, web, etc., easily assume that everyone else knows. Sadly, it’s not true and the people who need help the most have no way of learning. We ignore the pretentious comments and focus on making videos for people who need an introduction.

  20. Aurevoir177 says:

I’m very into computers and I always have a hard time explaining to my non-IT inclined friends what’s RAM, Hardrive etc. I think this video does a great job, though it still misses out some components, like graphics card. But hey, it’s good enough for entry level.

  21. chopbust says:

full of cocky comments. not everyone is as informative as you’d think. this is a very good, educational and simple video. don’t be so pretentious. some people might learn a thing or two, so if you’ve already know about it, why being such a douche about it? stop whining already.

  22. HaehlFranz says:

well, i know a bunch of people who do not know what this is for.
although, i also have to admit, this is a quite basic video^^

  23. mougie says:

This was REALLY retarded. the analogies were dumb and so was the info, i think we’re smart enough to understand this without pretty moving pieces of paper.

  24. fun4me23 says:

good vid. but who duz not know all this?

  25. seniorito14 says:

    great explanation…!! i rate u 5/5
