Nissin Di622 Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras, Guide Number 145
Filed Under: Nikon Cameras

I am not a professional photographer, so I really do not want to spend a lot for a flash. Then I read about Nissin Di622, which is manufactured by one of the oldest camera flash manufacturers in Japan. As soon as I flash this, I decided it to my friend’s Canon 430EX II, which he very much recommends compare for my Canon XSi. And here are the reasons why I recommend this flash:
1) Above all, the price. Di622 is solidly built that costs almost half the price of the equivalent Canon 430EX II
2) It comes with TTL (Through The Lens) flash metering system, which you usually would apply to a high-end flash.
3) The zoom flash head can tilt / rotate and turn all the way back, which I must find a directional light from indoor bouncing off the walls, or create on the ceiling.
4) It is just as slave flash. It synchronizes very well with the master flash.
5) It comes with built-in wide angle diffuser and fill-in reflector panel. I use a lot of the diffuser to create softer light.
6), it automatically enters sleep mode when not in use for 5 minutes and with a touch of the shutter button or any key of flash reset.
Overall, I find well-made Nissin Di622 and corresponds to a Canon 430EX II For the price difference, I decided to buy a Canon EF 50mm f / 1 8 II Camera Lens.

I have used this flash memory for several weddings, and just general use. And I was very impressed. 4 AA batteries regularly lasted for almost an entire wedding. The output is very consistent. I have no problems when they are in Ettl and only in manual mode. The recycling time is relatively fast and as I mentioned the issue in line. A small thing is that there is no synchronization on the 2nd Function has (if you use it).
It’s NOT a EX-580 (I-II), but it is a very capable flash.

This is an outstanding flash. As far as I can tell, it is 100% compatible with the Canon flash. The big difference? This Nissin costs only a fraction of the Canon price.
Well done, puts a lot of flash power, perfect when used with Canon 450D. Works well with a DIFUSE (home made) and indirect lightning strikes.
I have not tested the device in slave mode.
Set Ordering from Amazon and am very satisfied with their service and shipping.

I had a good flash, would the good properties and could not break my budget. I thought that it was better to spend money on good lenses and tripods than spend up to several hundred to invest in a flash. The Nissin Di622 gave me the best of the world. There is a strong unit, the numerous functions and not empty your account. I recommend you consider this unit if you need a flash. It’s not a Nikon, but makes for Nissin flash units for ever, and they have an equally good reputation.
