I am not impressed with the Nikon Coolpix S620. It does not take pictures worth keeping that are up close or at a distance. It only seems to take good pictures of objects a couple feet away. I am looking for a new camera.

Very happy with the purchase. Have yet to explore all of its capabilities but very easy to use and has produced many quality shots.

I can’t rate the camera yet (I’ll add to this later) because the box just arrived, so this review is just for Amazon. I had it sent Two Day Shipping, and it showed up at my door less than 24 hours later!!! Wow.

I put two day shipping on the camera and it arrived in only one day! That alone made me happy. I have only had the camera for about a day and have only had a few hours to play around with it but so far I have no complaints. There are no problems with it and it was secure in the box it was shipped in. The one thing I haven’t done yet is use the Nikon software that came with the camera. I did install it but didn’t transfer the picture I took to my PC yet. It had no problems installing on Windows 7 64-bit though.

I had a Mediterranean cruise with stops in Rome, Naples (Pompeii),Athens, Ephesus and Egypt coming up and wanted a new, small camera with a wide-angle lens. This Nikon was great. I was hoping to get good photos in a point and shoot that I could fit in my pocket without fear of dropping it. I was not disappointed. The landscape photos are superb. The details were exceptional, even enlarged. You can see the sweat on my brow by the pyramids in the 105 degree heat. Great value for the price.
