This is a very nice leather case which fits the Canon Power Shot SD780 like a glove, as other reviewers have noted. However, the need to thread the wrist strap through the hole on the top of the case was a deal breaker for my husband. The plastic on the wrist strap hangs up on the hole in the top of the case. I suggested he just let the wrist strap hang outside the case which he didn’t think was a good idea. Also, it would be nice to have a little compartment on the front of the case for a spare battery. We’re returning the case. I doubt we will find one that will fit perfectly like this one does, but we might find one that will fit our needs better (quick removal and insertion of the camera in the case and a place for spare battery).

The case is of good quality, but not convenient to use. The whole on the top for the wrist trap is very tight and you really have to pull the wrist wrap through it, making getting the camera in and out of the case quite slow. You can’t even put the strap on the side instead, as then the case won’t close properly.
In fact I tried my friends case made for a larger ELPH, and it in fact was a much better fit for the SD940IS (even though is is the recommended case). This is not a bad case, but I think you get a better one if either a Cannon case meant for the bigger ELPHS, or just go 3rd party.

The PowerShot SD780 IS perfectly fits in this case. Although I feel Canon’s previous model of leather case for previous PowerShot’s is more durable, this case still meets my expectation. I also expect the case to be VERY compact, because PowerShot SD780 is a lot smaller than other PowerShots, but the case is not that compact. But still, the case meets my expectation, I have no compliant.

This is a perfect fit for my Elph camera. Nothing bulky.

The case, although made by Canon for this camera, is good quality, but, slightly smaller than it should be to accomodate the camera with the wrist strap. We have to stuff it in there and hold the magnetic catch to keep it shut.
