I would consider this a good charger for occasional use but I’m a little afraid to use it much with my 3GS.

When I have it plugged in and charging the phone, it makes a strange, high pitch whining sound through the iphone’s speaker/headphone jack. I think I’ll be getting a higher quality charger for when I want to leave the phone plugged in for extended periods of time. Also, the plastic plug is slightly wider than the apple chargers so if you have a case on your phone, it might be a tight fit. I have an iSkin Revo case and the rubber actually has to stretch a little to accommodate the plug.

This product is nothing fancy. ***I only recommend this product if your vehicle has more than one outlet*** If you only have one outlet, you should purchase one of the multi-adapters so you can charge your cell phone along with your iPod. If you do have 2 plugs, I recommend this product. It works exactly as stated and it is significantly less expensive than the multi-adapter option. Overall a great product. Highly recommended for 2 plug vehicles.

This charger is great, and also the price is very good. Authentic ipod chargers cost $20 or more and they would only charger your phone as well, right! This charger works great for both my 4th generation ipod and 3g iphone. No issues, although I only use it occasionally.

Excellent customer service, responded to feedback and immediately shipped another part free of cost and it fits the 3GS, works great in the car.

In order to use this charger for an iPod nano 4th gen you will need to file down the nubs on either side of the iPod interface so that it will fit.

For the technologically challenged:

You will need to file just a bit on the edge (sides) of the part that plugs into the iPod ON this charger, NOT the dock on the iPod! There aren’t any protrusions (nubs) on the iPod anyway…

But it DOES WORK and it took less than 5 minutes to fix. So for the price, definitely worth it.
