lol, i know people who play with iPod Touchs in class, i wonder what would happen i they tried to use the iPad in class
Here is the deal: you need at least a bag to carry it around. If I have to use a bag and not a pocket i would rather carry around a more powerful device.
Also I think it would be wonderful incased in a car. with a less expensive payment plan it would be really interesting.

OMFG THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!! I always tell people it is NOT an iTouch it’s an f’n iPod TOUCH!!! 5 stars for that and the beginning, I’m always telling people that it’s not meant to be compared to a tablet.
Are ya foreal all of y’all are complning about flash . Flash fucking suck ass an it’s horrible it uses lots of CPU an y’all are expecting ithink it’s 1 ghz proccers yo use flash if the iPhone or iPod touch had flash the devices would probally lag or even crash using flash will just ruin the user interface u get from the products
No flash = no full web browsing = no purchase
There are three things that bother me:
1. Only one app being open at once.
2. No flash.
3. No USB.
No camera doesn’t bother me, especially when there are handicaps like no flash or no multitasking. Even if there were a feature that was like Spaces, so you could have open 9 apps at once, that would be very cool, just for quick switching. But instead, we’ve got to click the middle button, et cetera. No flash is just self explanatory. And they easily could have fit a USB in that space.
i want an ipad because:
1. gave up post paid cell plan for prepaid . . to save money, free from contract. . . . no internet connection! ill be able to check email etc.
2. can only use my ipodtouch at work!!! drives me crazy no wifi !!!
3. saves me from putting on the computer just for checking email!
4 computer TAKES TO LONG TO COME ON. . . THEN TO THE INTERNET. . lol

I would buy it if it was java compatible, and had some kind of word processor. That’s why I’m waiting for the HP slate.

This device is nice but it’s only going to be useful if you do a lot of work on the go as in if you travel a lot or for business. If you buy it with the accessories displayed on the Apple site, this is one godly device. You don’t replace laptops with this, you don’t play hardcore games on this either. For the price it’s an excellent device. Just don’t expect to do a lot of stuff on this as you would on a laptop.
A WiFi only video conferencing camera is one thing but do not expect 3G video conferencing anytime in the near future. How quickly we forget the number of complaints people had about iphone 3G connectivity before the IPad was announced. ATT’s network as well as all the carriers are several years away from handling millions of people video chatting at the same time
