Is kindle 3 announced maybe?
I think the fact that it doesn’t have memory expansion is a huge drawback.
I don’t like that case. I see it uses magnets to keep it shut, but if one drops it. I’m sure it’ll just slip out, and hopefully its sturdy enough to survive an impact such as that.
Nice. I suggest to either try the iPad or wait for Kindle 3. If you need a Kindle right away, the DX is the best.

Excellent review! I’m conflicted between buying the Kindle 2, the DX, or waiting for that Kindle 3.
For the idiots who commented on your accent or fingernails, their mullets must be eating into the cultural awareness portion of their brains.
Then you must’ve been using it a hell of a lot more than anyone else ever has. I don’t even know how you can browse on that thing everyday.
Dude I have a kindle 2(us version) and I was charged 15 dollars after a month of Internet browsing everyday. Lol
No, it won’t. I assure you, I have a Kindle 2 (US Version) and every website you view with it is absolutely free.
Anything on that bookmark list is free. . . Other heavy Browsing will be charged. . .
It doesn’t zoom. The closest thing it has to zooming is that you can change the orientation from portrait to landscape, which will sort zoom to fit the width of the screen.
It is absolutely free. I have a Kindle 2 and I browse Wikipedia on it all the time.

kp, could you please tell me how books are kept “in the cloud”?
Is it like the stupid iTunes where you have to buy your music AGAIN if you loose it, or will it keep a record of which books you own and let you re-download them as often as you like?

browsing if FREE on kindle. it’s obviously not the best for internet usage. the main strength is reading for both kindle dx and kindle 2. .
i’ve ordered mine and it arrives very soon. i can’t wait!
A friend says the DX can’t zoom into PDF files nor make annotations on them. So he converts those PDFs using Mobipocket, which is a free software, and then he’s able to do zooming + annotations. If you’d rather not use Mobipocket, then you can at least turn the DX and view the PDFs in landscape format.

@kpappletech I’m not so sure it doesn’t zoom it in, in other youtube video I jus saw the DX zooming into PDF files.
you need to show how the kindle dx stays in the case, you kinda went past that part quickly (does it stay on with magnets?). why does the screen keep flipping upside down? you need to show another item for scale (that pdf is NOT readable, the text looks tiny, there really needs to be zoom support). how to do browse the web with no mouse.
overall the review is great.
